Dr. Ingo Friedrich Unanimously Re-Elected as President of the European Economic Senate (EES)

At the EES General Assembly in Rottach/Tegernsee, the long-standing Vice President of the European Parliament, Dr. Ingo Friedrich from Gunzenhausen, was re-elected as President of the European Economic Senate for another five years. In the secret ballot, all votes were cast for him. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Ingo Friedrich pointed out the successes achieved in recent years: The perception and presence of the EES in Brussels, Berlin and Munich has been significantly increased, and the advice given to Senate members on current political and economic developments by experts has also been significantly expanded.

The European Economic Senate
The European Economic Senate (EES) stands for the economic sustainability and sovereignty of our continent like no other institution. At a time when Europe's voice is increasingly in demand on the global stage, the EES offers outstanding entrepreneurs the unique opportunity to play an active and direct role in shaping this future. The Senate currently has 150 companies from five European countries as members. They are among the leading representatives from politics, industry, small and medium-sized businesses, associations and society.

Presence in Brussels, Berlin and Munich
With its strategic presence in Brussels and excellent links with the institutions of the European Union - including the EU Commission, the European Parliament and other key bodies - the EWS is ideally positioned to exert influence with the expertise of its senators. Senate members receive exclusive access to indispensable first-hand information that goes well beyond what is communicated in the public media. This knowledge is incorporated into personal meetings with top politicians and leading experts and enables members to react early on to the decisive decisions in Europe. The EWS is represented in Berlin by its Deputy Secretary General, who is also a member of the German Bundestag, and its headquarters are in Munich.
