EES Live (12/2024) - The Digital Senators' Briefing

“The Impact of the new Trump Administration on Europe and China policy”

Regardless of how you personally feel about the election of the new US President, the realization is growing stronger with almost daily announcements by President-elect Trump that US policy will change massively under the Trump administration, this is so to speak “a certainty”. What can we expect? What is the situation in the USA itself, is there now a threat of a split in the country? What is the most likely scenario? Or could US politics become completely unpredictable? What does the US election mean for our relationship with third countries and previously important trading partners such as China? How and what do we in Europe have to adjust to? In addition, there is an EU Commission where we still know whether the market-based reorientation of policy promised by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the election campaign will actually happen.

In times of already great economic challenges, we will be even more challenged by the coming geopolitical changes.

In this EES Live, we want to obtain expert assessments and discuss them with you.
